Acipenser ruthenus (Sterlet) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family sturgeons. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. They are associated with freshwater habitat. Individuals can grow to 125 cm. They have sexual reproduction.
