Carcharodon carcharias (Great White Shark) is a species of Selachii in the family Lamnidae. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN, as endangered by COSEWIC, and in cites appendix ii. They are native to Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, and Pacific Ocean. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 720 cm. Reproduction is iteroparous and ovoviviparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on swimming to move around.
