Alectoris chukar (Chukar Partridge) is a species of birds in the family Phasianidae. It is native to Iran, Mongolia, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, India, Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Nepal, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Lebanon, Israel, Russia, Oman, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. It is a diurnal granivore. Individuals can grow to 680 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Chukar Partridge has parental care (pair provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
