Goniastrea edwardsi is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Goniastrea edwardsi form shallow marine sediments. Goniastrea edwardsi form marine reefs. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have no parental care. They are sessile animals.
