Wasmannia auropunctata (Little Fire Ant) is a species of Hymenoptera in the family ants. They are native to The Dominican Republic, Martinique, Paraguay, Honduras, Costa Rica, French Guiana, Bolivia, Haiti, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia, Puerto Rico, Saint Vincent And The Grenadines, Brazil, Trinidad And Tobago, Barbados, Grenada, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Suriname, Guadeloupe, Cuba, Jamaica, Colombia, Guyana, Venezuela, Panama, and Virgin Islands, U.s.. They visit flowers of Yellow geiger, Tournefortia rufo-sericea, Capsicum frutescens, and wild leadwort. They are diurnal.
