Selaginella (Spikemoss) is a genus of herb in the family spikemosses. They are climbers. This genus is extinct. They are native to Puerto Rico, Greenland, Alaska, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Canada, Hawaii, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Flowers are visited by Vanessa cardui, cabbage butterfly, and Colletes malmus. Individuals could grow to 14 m.
