Cistus (Rockrose) is a genus of shrub in the family Cistaceae. They are native to mediterranean basin. They have capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by European honey bee, Mordellistena, Buff-tailed bumblebee, and Trichodes octopunctatus. Individuals can grow to 12 m.
