Asplenium (Spleenwort) is a genus of shrub in the family spleenworts. They are native to Canada, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Greenland, U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, and Alaska. Individuals can grow to 22 m. They have alternation of generations.
