Ranunculus is a genus of herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They are native to Greenland, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by hoverfly, Meliscaeva auricollis, Chelostoma philadelphi, and Lycocerus lineatipennis. Individuals can grow to 3.2 m.
