Thelypteris (Maiden Fern) is a genus of herb in the family Thelypteridaceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada. They have bipinnate + pinnatifid leaves. Individuals can grow to 25 m. They have alternation of generations.
