Staphylinoidea sunt superfamilia coleopterorum, magnus diversusque grex cosmopolitus.

Proprietates

Plurima staphylinoidea sunt coleoptera magnitudinis mediocris pari elytrorum imminutorum praedita. Alae posteriores accessario iugo posteriori, cellulá cuneatá, et cellulá apicá carent. Segmentum octavum a segmento septimo non omnino invaginatur. Caput plerumque suturá coronali caret.[1]

Inter Staphylinoidea sunt subgreges sequentis:[2][3]

Fossilia certa ex Triassico exstant, sed grex probabiliter ex Mesozoico ineunte ortus est.[4]
