Dipodomys spectabilis (Banner Tailed Kangaroo Rat) is a species of rodents in the family Heteromyidae. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are native to The Nearctic. They are solitary, nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 36 months and can grow to 141.14 mm. They rely on saltation to move around.
