Dipodomys californicus (California Kangaroo Rat) is a species of rodents in the family Heteromyidae. They are native to The Nearctic. They are solitary, nocturnal herbivores. Individuals can grow to 115.15 mm. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on saltation to move around.
