Eira barbara (Tayra) is a species of mammals in the family Mustelidae. They are listed in cites appendix iii. They are native to The Neotropics. They are solitary, diurnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 216 months and can grow to 612.64 mm. They rely on running and arboreal (locomotion) to move around.
