Macaca sylvanus (Barbary Ape) is a species of primates in the family Old World monkeys. They are listed as endangered by IUCN and in cites appendix i. They are native to the Palearctic. They are diurnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 264 months and can grow to 549.99 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (cooperative breeding, female provides care, and paternal care).
