Tamias striatus (Eastern American Chipmunk) is a species of rodents in the family Sciuridae. They are native to The Nearctic. They visit flowers of maple, Cedar, Pine, and true grasses. They are solitary, diurnal omnivores. Individuals can grow to 146.47 mm. They have parental care (female provides care).
