Geum vernum (Spring Avens) is a species of perennial herb in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and achene. Flowers are visited by Rhodobaenus tredecimpunctatus, Holcopasites heliopsis, Cerceris clypeata, and Dynatosoma thoracicum. Individuals can grow to 0.49 m.
