Shell ovoid, circular in cross section, aperture round, obliquely truncated, covered with square or rectangular siliceous plates. Transparent, plates imbedded in an organic, hyaline cement. Habitat: humid moss on rocks, rare, Cuba. Type species: Microquadrula musciphila Golemansky, 1968.
