Acrocomia aculeata (Yellow Coconut) is a species of tree in the family palms. They are native to Maranhao, Rio De Janeiro, Piauí, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Bahia, Distrito Federal, Pará, Mato Grosso, Ceará, Mata Atlântica, and Minas Gerais. Flowers are visited by Trigona silvestriana. Individuals can grow to 12 m.
