Description

Straggling or creeping annual herb, up to 40 cm high. Stems erect or decumbent, rooting at the lower nodes, densely covered in spreading hairs. Leaves more or less broadly lanceolate, more or less hairy, often more so along the margins and on the veins. Inflorescences axillary, spike-like, usually 2 per node, 4-9-flowered. Corolla c. 4 mm long, white with purple or maroon lines on the lip. See Justicia exigua and Justicia anagalloides for comparison.
