A small species of Garra with smoothly rounded snout tip, rostral lobe present, proboscis absent, predorsal region, chest and abdomen scaled, two pairs of barbels, lateral line scales 31, circumpeduncular scales 16.

Trophic Strategy

Known only from the type locality, Naung Pin Thar Chaung, a small forest stream on the eastern slope of the Rakhine Yoma, draining to the Irrawaddy basin. It had clear, colorless water, moderate current and was 1-2 meter wide, to 0.5 meter deep, with about 30% shadow, in a landscape of bamboo forested hills, land vegetation close to stream mainly bamboo. The streambed consisted of rocks and gravel (Ref. 52314).
