Eunica monima is resident to North America only in the very southern tip of Florida, but it is a common stray into Texas from Mexico. This species ranges south to Venezuela, the Bahamas and the Greater Antilles (Scott 1986). Habitats are subtropical wooded areas and hammocks. Host plants are restricted to one tree species, Zanthoxylum pentamon (Rutaceae). There are multiple flights each year between May 1-Dec. 31 in Fla. (Scott 1986).
