Emilia sonchifolia (Lilac Tasselflower) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to SãO Paulo, Espirito Santo, Alagoas, Sergipe, Ceará, Bahia, Maranhao, Mata Atlântica, US Minor Outlying Islands, Amazônia, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Pará, Rio De Janeiro, Pernambuco, The Contiguous United States, Rio Grande Do Norte, Puerto Rico, ParaíBa, Caatinga, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Piauí. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Long-tailed Blue, Agapostemon splendens, Cassius Blue, and Callicista columella istapa. Individuals can grow to 1 m.
