In Panama Lessios (2005) records collecting this species in the Gulf of Chiriqui near Isla Cavada (7 58.00 N, 82 02.40 W, depth 30 m) and in the Gulf of Panama close to the Darien region (7 50.00 N, 79 45.00 W, depth 76 m).
