Potamogale velox (Giant Otter Shrew) is a species of Mammal in the family tenrecs. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Ethiopia. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 320 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They rely on swimming to move around.
