Jatropha gossypiifolia (Bellyache Bush) is a species of shrub in the family Euphorbiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Minas Gerais, GoiáS, Martinique, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Distrito Federal, Tocantins, Ceará, Pernambuco, The Contiguous United States, AmazôNia, Rio De Janeiro, Guadeloupe, Bahia, Paraná, Puerto Rico, Maranhao, RondôNia, Pará, SãO Paulo, U.S. Virgin Islands, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthelemy. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 2 m.
