Cyperus prolixus (Mosquito Flat Sedge) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Minas Gerais, Bahia, Roraima, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, Paraná, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Cerrado, Rio Grande Do Sul, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Amazônia, Mata Atlântica, and Santa Catarina.
