They are native to Mato Grosso Do Sul, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Mato Grosso, SãO Paulo, Cerrado, The Contiguous United States, Maranhao, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pernambuco, Puerto Rico, Mata Atlântica, Pará, Distrito Federal, Paraná, RondôNia, GoiáS, Roraima, Acre (Brazil), Tocantins, Pantanal, and Amapá. They have simple, broad leaves.
