Leersia virginica (Whitegrass) is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Sul, Canada, Mata Atlântica, The Contiguous United States, Paraná, North America, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
