Leersia virginica (Whitegrass) is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Santa Catarina, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Sul, Canada, The Contiguous United States, North America, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
