Andropogon gerardii (Big Bluestem) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They are native to North America, Eastern North America, United States, Canada, Western North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Common Eastern Bumblebee, Syrphid fly, and Melissodes bimaculatus. Individuals can grow to 6 feet.
