Es troba al Pacífic oriental: des del nord de la Colúmbia Britànica fins a les costes centrals de Califòrnia (els Estats Units).[5][7][8][9][10][11]
És inofensiu per als humans.[5]

It dwells at a maximum depth of 11 metres (36 ft), and inhabits shallow, rocky regions. It uses its pectoral fins to climb the faces of rocks and crawl on the bottom. Its body is camouflaged by a coating of sponges and seaweed. Males can reach a maximum total length of 8.9 centimetres (3.5 in).[3]

Agonomalus mozinoi is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van harnasmannen (Agonidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1979 door Wilimovsky & Wilson.
