Xenocypris fangi is a species of cyprinid in China, of the genus Xenocypris.^[1] It has a maximum length of 20.0 centimetres (7.9 in) and a common length of 17.0 centimetres (6.7 in).^[1] It inhabits the upper Yangtze and is considered harmless to humans.^[1]

Xenocypris fangi is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de eigenlijke karpers (Cyprinidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1930 door Tchang.

方氏鲴（学名：Xenocypris fangi）为鲤科鲴属的鱼类，俗名泥凡、番子鱼、红尾凡子，是中国的特有物种。分布于四川的叙府等，常生活于支流中上游河段的水体中，體長可達17公分。该物种的模式产地在四川。^[1]
