Hadoa inauditus (formerly Tibicen inauditus; see Hill et al. 2015) is found in the southwestern United States. It is is known from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas (U.S.A.). (Sanborn & Phillips 2013)

Hadoa inauditus is found in trees in desert woodlands and grasslands. It has been associated with skunk bush (Rhus trilobata Nuttall), soapweed (Yucca glauca Nuttall), bear grass (Xerophyllum tenax (Pursh) Nuttall), and oak (Quercus spp.) in various habitats. Sanborn & Phillips (2013) also reported collecting specimens in mesquite (Prosopis spp.), juniper (Juniperus spp.), and mountain mahogany (Cercocarpus spp.). (Sanborn & Phillips 2013) This is probably be the smallest "Tibicen" (Hadoa/Neotibicen) in the United States (Hill et al. 2015).

The song is a high-pitched trilling buzz (Hill et al. 2015).
