This grey herons (Ardea cinerea) leg fell into a beaver trap settled by someone. The result is an open fracture of the right tarsometatarsus. The bird was rescued and taken for treatment by the State Wildlife Inspections officials. It will survive but most likely it will be an invalid. This is a huge disadvantage of trapping that trap often catches unplanned animals in addition to hunt target.
