Found in muddy seepage with condensed soil-stones and timber debris. Salamanders were situated beneath stones and timber in saturated mud and when uncovered rapidly crawled to any nearby evading cover. Tan dorsal stripe extending from head to near tip of tail, but not reaching. Sides and belly dark and lightly speckled with white. Relatively long limbs and toes. Three examined: SVL 38 mm (1 1/2 in.), TL 75 mm (3 in.); SVL 56 mm (2 1/4 in.), TL 119 mm (4 3/4 in.); SVL 50 mm (2 in.), TL 100 mm (4 in.).
