Shrub up to 4 m tall, widely grown as a garden ornamental. It is only known as a naturalised escape from one place in Harare (see photos) but there it has formed a well established colony in and around a permanently wet area. Leaves 1-pinnate, imparipinnate, foetid when crushed; leaflets, especially the lower, often pedately divided into 2-3 leaflets. Flowers white in a terminal flat-topped inflorescence.
