Draco maculatus ( İngilizce )

Draco maculatus, commonly known as the spotted flying dragon or spotted gliding lizard, is a species of agamid flying lizard endemic to Southeast Asia. It is capable of gliding from tree to tree.

Description

Head small; snout a little longer than the diameter of the orbit; nostril lateral, directed outwards; tympanum scaly. Upper head-scales unequal, strongly keeled; a compressed prominent scale on the posterior part of the superciliary region; 7 to 11 upper labials. The male's gular appendage very large, always much longer than the head, and frequently twice as long; female also with a well-developed but smaller gular sac. Male with a very small nuchal crest. Dorsal scales but little larger than the ventrals, irregular, smooth or very feebly keeled; on each side of the back a series of large trihedral keeled distant scales. The fore limb stretched forwards reaches beyond the tip of the snout; the adpressed hind limb reaches a little beyond the elbow of the adpressed fore limb, or to the axilla. Greyish above, with more or less distinct darker markings; a more or less distinct darker interorbital spot; wing-membranes above with numerous small round black spots, which are seldom confluent, beneath immaculate or with a few black spots; a blue spot on each side of the base of the gular appendage.[3]

From snout to vent length, 82 mm (3.2 in); tail, 115 mm (4.5 in).[3]

Subspecies

The following four subspecies (or races) are recognized, including the nominotypical subspecies:[2]

  • Draco maculatus divergens Taylor, 1934: NW Thailand; type locality = "Chiang Mai, N Siam"; restricted to "Doi Suthep Mountain" by Taylor, 1963.
  • Draco maculatus haasei Boettger, 1893: E Thailand, Cambodia, S Vietnam; type locality = "Chantaboon, Siam".
  • Draco maculatus maculatus (Gray, 1845)
  • Draco maculatus whiteheadi Boulenger, 1900: N Vietnam, Hainan; type locality = "Five-finger Mountains, interior of Hainan".

Geographic range

From Assam and Yunnan to Singapore.

Southern China (Hainan, Guangxi, Yunnan, Tibet), India (E. Himalayas to Assam), Bangladesh (Satchari National Park, Sylhet), Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and W. Malaysia.

El dragón volador manchado (Draco maculatus) es una especie de lagarto volador del género Draco, capaz de planear de árbol a árbol. Habita en algunas partes del Sudeste de Asia.

Descripción

Cabeza pequeña; hocico un poco más largo que el diámetro de la órbita; fosas nasales laterales, dirigidas hacia fuera; tímpano escamoso. Escamas de la cabeza superior desiguales, fuertemente carenadas; una escama comprimida prominente en la parte posterior de la región superciliar; 7 a 11 labiales superiores. El apéndice gular del macho es grande, siempre mucho más largo que el talón, y con frecuencia doblemente largo; la hembra con saco gular bien desarrollado, pero más pequeño. El macho con una cresta nucal muy pequeña. Escamas dorsales un poco más grandes que la ventrales, irregulares, lisas y muy débilmente carenadas; a cada lado de la parte posterior una serie de largas escamas triedrales cardenadas. Las extremidades delanteras estiradas hacia delante alcanzan más allá de la punta del hocico; las extremidades posteriores adpresas alcanzan más allá del codo de la extremidad delantera, o hasta la axila. Grisáceo por encima, con más o menos distintas marcas más oscuras; un punto interorbital más o menos más oscuro; las membranas de las alas con numerosas pequeñas manchas negras redondas, que son pocas veces cunfluentes, por abajo inmaculadamente limpio o con unos puntos negros; una mancha azul en cada lado de la base de la orejuela gular.[1]

Desde el hocico hasta la ventosa 3.25 pulgadas ; 4.5 de la cola.

Se observan tres razas

  • divergens: Nw Tailandia; Terra typica: Chiang Mai, N Siam; restringido a la montaña de Doi Suthep por TAYLOR 1963.
  • haasei: E Tailandia, Camboya, S Vietnam; Terra typica: Chantaboon, Siam.
  • whiteheadi: N Vietnam, Hainan; Terra typica: Montaña de cinco dedos, interior de Hainan.

Distribución

De Assam y Yunnan a Singapur.

en China (Hainan, Guangxi, Yunnan, Tíbet), India (E. Himalayas a Assam), Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Tailandia y W. Malaysia.

斑飞蜥学名Draco maculatus)为鬣蜥科飞蜥属爬行动物,俗名飞龙、飞蜥、飞蛇。

特征

体长约9~10厘米,尾巴比身体略长;灰棕色或铜绿色,有暗色斑;咽喉部有3个突起;体侧有橙黄色的翼膜,有黑斑点缀成的纵线纹,有5条延长的肋骨支持,帮助飞跃,黄色的腹面有黑斑。

分布

分布于印度泰国缅甸越南、马来半岛以及中国大陆海南广西云南西藏福建等地,常见于热带亚热带森林中或低矮的山林边缘。其生存的海拔范围为550至1540米。该物种的模式产地在马来西亚槟榔屿和亚洲。[1]
