Thecadactylus solimoensis Bergmann & Russell 2007

Thecadactylus solimoensis is a species of gecko described in 2007. It is often confused with T. rapicauda, the turnip-tailed gecko. This species is found at elevations of 120–200 m (390–660 ft) above sea level in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, southern Colombia and western Brazil, mostly within the headwaters of the Amazon river system.^[1][2]

Thecadactylus solimoensis est une espèce sud-américaine de geckos de la famille des Phyllodactylidae^[1].

Répartition

Cette espèce se rencontre^[1] :

• en Équateur ;
• au Pérou ;
• en Bolivie ;
• au Brésil dans les États du Rondônia et d'Amazonas ;
• dans le sud de la Colombie.

Étymologie

Son nom d'espèce, composé de solimo et du suffixe latin -ensis, « qui vit dans, qui habite », lui a été donné en référence au lieu de sa découverte, le rio Solimões.
