Hymenophore totally resupinate, imbedded, inseparable from the matrix, exceedingly thin, the mycelium imparting a deep orange-red stain to the underlying wood ; tubes about 30 // long and 50 {i broad, black, thin-walled, angular, entire : spores smooth, ovoid, hyaline, 2.5-3.5 ^ ; cystidia none.
Type collected in Mexico, on decayed hardwood logs, in 1891, Charles L. Smith. Distribution: Mexico.
