Pileus thin, 5 cm. broad; surface appressed-fibrillose, golden-yellow, margin inflexed;

stipe solid, pale-fuscous, appressed-pilose, 8 cm. long, 8 mm. thick.

Description
The cap is 2 to 5 centimetres (0.8 to 2.0 in) in diameter.[1]
Habitat and distribution
Gymnopilus aureobrunneus grows on logs and stumps in Cuba.[1]
