Pileus thin, broadly convex, nearly plane or centrally depressed, gregarious or cespitose, 1.6-2.5 cm. broad; surface glabrous, at first bluish, soon pale-purple or mauve, margin undulate ; context white, the taste mild ; lamellae narrow, crowded, decurrent, slightly tinged with pink; spores ellipsoid, 6-7 X 4-5 m; stipe short, central, eccentric, or almost lateral, equal or
tapermg downward, fibrillose and longitudinally rimulose, solid, brownish, 1-2 cm. long, 2-4
mm. thick.
Type 1.0CALITY: Stanley Court, Washington, D C Habitat: On lawns.
Distribution : Known only from the type locality.
