Schlimia is a genus of flowering plants from the orchid family, Orchidaceae. It is native to Costa Rica and to northern South America.[1][2]
Note. This genus is often incorrectly written as Schlimmia, however it honours the Belgian botanist Louis Joseph Schlim and the author later corrected the name.

Son orquídeas de gran tamaño epifitas que se encuentran en el norte de los Andes. Tienen pseudobulbos ovoides envueltos en vainas imbricadas y una sola hoja. La inflorescencia es lateral con pocas flores de tamaño mediano.
