The Mbulu white-eye (Zosterops mbuluensis) is a bird species in the family Zosteropidae. It is found in southern Kenya and northern Tanzania.
The Mbulu white-eye was formerly treated as a subspecies of the montane white-eye (Zosterops poliogastrus). When a molecular phylogenetic study published in 2014 found that it was more closely related to the Abyssinian white-eye (Zosterops abyssinicus), the Mbulu white-eye was promoted to species rank.[2][3] It is monotypic.[3]

El anteojitos serrano de Mbulu (Zosterops mbuluensis)[2] es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Zosteropidae encontrada en el sureste de Kenia y el norte de Tanzania.[3]
La especie fue descrita científicamente por los zoólogos ingleses William Lutley Sclater y Reginald Ernest Moreau en 1935 como Zosterops virens mbuluensis.[4] Anteriormente era tratada como subespecie del anteojitos serrano (Z. poliogastrus), pero el resultado de un estudio de filogenética molecular publicado en 2014 descubrió que estaba más estrechamente relacionado con el anteojitos abisinio (Z. abyssinicus),[5] y en la actualidad es considerada como especie separada.[3]
