Haptorid ciliates, body long-ovoid or flask-shaped; oral region, circular to oval, sometimes obviously pointed; circumoral dikinetids typically at anterior end of bipolar somatic kineties, not exceeding the number of somatic kineties except some Enchelyodon species; clavate kineties from two to many.
