Pentapodus aureofasciatus Russell 2001

Description: Dorsal brownish grey with stripe yellow pale narrow (may be absent or faded), ventral pale blue or white, midlateral stripe yellow pale broad from eye to caudal peduncle, snout yellow band between a pair of blue bands. Juvenile blue with horizontal stripes 2 bight yellow. Head scales reaches forward to level between eye and nostrils. Snout about equal to diameter of eye. Preopercle lower limb scale rows 2-3. 日本至熱帶太平洋。

體型小，具市場價值。

背鰭X, 8; 臀鰭III, 7; 胸鰭13-16;體呈紡錘型；眼睛中大，約與吻等長；眼下有小區域光滑無鱗；背鰭前鱗往前延伸至眼框之前；前鰓蓋骨下部具有2-3列鱗；側線鱗42-48；腹鰭略微延長，僅達肛門或肛門前；尾鰭深叉，上下葉均不延長。體上半部為綠褐色，中間具有一黃色條紋，下方白；尾鰭紅；其餘各鰭淡紅色半透明狀。Russell (1990, 2001)提及本種產於台灣，陳正平(2004)進行墾丁魚類項調查時首次記錄此種。過去台灣魚類誌所紀錄之長崎錐齒鯛(/P. nagasakiensis/)實為本種之誤鑑。

底棲，棲息於珊瑚礁區域之沙泥底。

Pentapodus aureofasciatus Pentapodus generoko animalia da. Arrainen barruko Nemipteridae familian sailkatzen da.

黃帶錐齒鯛（学名：Pentapodus aureofasciatus），又名紅尾冬仔，为金線魚科錐齒鯛屬下的一个种。
