Bollmannia is a genus of gobies native to the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of the Americas. The generic name honours the American naturalist Charles Harvey Bollman (1868–1889).^[1]

Vissen

Bollmannia is een geslacht van straalvinnige vissen uit de familie van grondels (Gobiidae).^[1] Ze werd in 1890 beschreven door Jordan & Bollman samen met de soort Bollmannia chlamydes. De naam is een hommage aan Charles H. Bollman (1868–1889), die overleed kort voor de publicatie van deze beschrijving.^[2]
