Ryukyupercis gushikeni és una espècie de peix de la família dels pingüipèdids i l'única del gènere Ryukyupercis.[6]
Etimologia
Ryukyupercis prové de la combinació del nom de les illes Ryukyu i de Percis (un nom emprat per a moltes espècies de pingüipèdids).[7]
Descripció
Fa 30 cm de llargària màxima.[8][7]
Alimentació
El seu nivell tròfic és de 3,68.[9]
Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica
És un peix marí, demersal i de clima tropical, el qual viu al Pacífic occidental: des del Japó[8][10][11][12][13] (incloent-hi les illes Ryukyu)[8][14] fins al nord-oest d'Austràlia,[15][16][17][18][19] incloent-hi Malàisia.[20][21][22][23][24][4][7][25]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans.[7]

Vissen Ryukyupercis gushikeni is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van krokodilvissen (Pinguipedidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1975 door Yoshino.
