Parapercis binivirgata és una espècie de peix de la família dels pingüipèdids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[6]
Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica
És un peix marí, demersal i de clima subtropical, el qual viu al Pacífic sud-occidental: la plataforma continental sobre fons sorrencs d'Austràlia (Nova Gal·les del Sud)[3][7][8] i Nova Zelanda.[9][10][11][12][13][4][14][15]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans.[14]

The redbanded weever (Parapercis binivirgata) is a sandperch of the family Pinguipedidae found around Australia and New Zealand at depths between 50 and 440 metres (160 and 1,440 ft).[1][2] Its length is up to 20 centimetres (7.9 in).

Vissen Parapercis binivirgata is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van krokodilvissen (Pinguipedidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1904 door Waite.
