體延長，近似圓柱狀，尾部略側扁；頭稍小而似尖錐形。吻尖而平扁。眼中大，上側位，稍突出於頭背緣。口中大，略傾斜；上頜略短於下頜；頜齒呈絨毛狀齒帶，外側列較大，下頜前端具犬齒6枚；鋤骨具齒，腭骨亦具齒。體被細鱗，側線簡單而完全；側線鱗數55-61。背鰭連續，硬棘部與軟條部間無缺刻，具硬棘V，軟條23；臀鰭硬棘I，軟條19；胸鰭軟條20-22；尾鰭圓形或近截形。體呈橘黃色，體側具7條黃色寬橫帶；尾鰭具5條細帶。

Parapercis aurantiaca és una espècie de peix de la família dels pingüipèdids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[6] És un peix marí, demersal i de clima subtropical, el qual viu al Pacífic nord-occidental: les àrees sublitorals de fons sorrencs i fangosos[7] del Japó,[8][9][10][11][12][13][14] Corea del Sud,[15][16][17] la Xina[18] i Taiwan.[19][20][21][4][22][23] Mesura 17 cm de llargària màxima.[8][22] El seu nivell tròfic és de 3,43.[24] És inofensiu per als humans.[22]

二名法 Parapercis aurantiaca(Doderlein, 1884)[1] 赤拟鲈（学名：Parapercis aurantiaca），又称黃擬鱸、赤虎鱚，俗名海狗甘仔、舉目魚、沙鱸，为虎鱚科拟鲈属的鱼类。[1]
分布
本魚分布於西北太平洋區，包括日本、韓國、台灣等海域，模式产地在日本。
深度
水深10至50公尺。
特徵
本魚體近圓柱形，腭骨有齒，背鰭具5枚硬棘，下頷外列齒6枚。尾鰭基部中央無暗斑，體色橙黃色，體側有7條暗色寬橫帶，5條在背鰭基底下方，此外無暗色帶或暗色斑點，體長可達17公分。
生態
本魚主要棲息在珊瑚礁區，以一停一動的方式在珊瑚礁盤上移動，屬肉食性，以小魚或底棲無脊椎動物為食。
經濟利用
可食用，適合油炸，但多以下雜魚處理。
