Iphigenellidae ( İngilizce )

Iphigenellidae is a freshwater family of amphipods in the superfamily Gammaroidea.^[1]^[2] It is found in the Ponto-Caspian region, which encompasses the Black, Azov, and Caspian Seas.^[2]

Taxonomy

The family has only one recognised species.^[3]

Iphigenella Sars, 1896^[4]
- Iphigenella acanthopoda Sars, 1896^[4]

Two species – I. andrussowi and I. shablensis^[5] – were, respectively, described by Sars and Carausu in 1894 and 1943, but these species are no longer recognized.^[3]

Iphigenellidae er en av 25 familier i overfamilie Gammaroidea (parvorden Gammaridira, infraorden Gammarida) - innenfor Senticaudata-gruppen av tanglopper. Gruppens arter lever som bentiske bunndyr og kjennes fra Gammaridea-arter på avvikende morfologi i halepartiet. Denne gruppens arter lever i både ferskvann og i havet, men primært i Kaspihavet, Azovhavet og i elvene i Russland.

Den ene slekten med tre arter ble alle beskrevet av den norske marinbiologen Georg Ossian Sars.

Gruppens taksonomi

Gruppen ble systematisert på ny i 2003.^[1] En moderne oppdatering av systematikken gis nedenfor i lys av 2013-revisjonen med basis i WoRMS-databasen.^[2]
